The Battle of the Bulge and the Importance of the Mission.

This time in 1944 a raging battle took place in Bastogne, Belgium.  I have led in some pretty trying times but I'm not sure how leaders did under these conditions.  To me the battle of the bulge highlights the importance of the mission, whatever it is.  If it is important and you communicate that to your people, they will move mountains to accomplish it.  The key lessons: only give your people missions of importance and communicate that importance to them.
